Eligibility Requirements

• Students with the following visa status: D-2-2~D-2-8, D-4-1

Period of Application

• Within 90 days from the date of entry into the Republic of Korea
  ※If you do not register within 90 days from the date of entry, you will be fined

How to Apply

• 1) Exchange Students : Online application via Hire-visa
• 2) CNU International Students : Group application via OIA

Required Documents:

• Application Form (Please download the form and type it, not hand-written) Download
• Copy of your passport
• 1 Color Photo w/ White background(3.5cm×4.5cm, taken within 6 month)
• Visa Grant Notice (https://www.visa.go.kr/openPage.do?MENU_ID=10301)
• Certificate of Enrollment(Should be issued after arrival in Korea)
• Proof of Residence (The contract start date must be after the date of entry)
• Alien registration card fee : 35,000KRW

Eligible Circumstances:

• Lost card
• Lack of blank space on the back of the card
• Change of information of existing ARC(name, gender, date of birth, country)
  ※Within 14 days from the date of occurrence above
  ※If you do not report within 14 days from the date of change, you will be fined.

Required Document

• Application Form (Please download the form and type it, not hand-written) Download
• Passport
• 1 Color Photo w/ White background(3.5cm×4.5cm, taken within 6 month)
• Old Alien Registration Card / Report Form for lost ARC Download
• Fee 35,000KRW

Notification of Change in Registration Information

• For those who made changes in passport number, issuance date, or expiration date within 15 days from the date of occurrence. If not, he/she will be fined.
• Required Documents: Application Form, Passport, ARC
• Method:
  • 1. hikorea.go.kr → Petition Application → e-Application → Notification of change in registration information
  • 2. Visit Gwangju Immigration Office after making a reservation at hikorea.go.kr

Address Change Declaration

• For those who changed their residence, they have to notify within 15 days from the date of move-in. If not, he/she will be fined.
• Required Documents: Proof of Residency (Contracts, dormitory certificate etc.), ARC
• Method:
  • 1. hikorea.go.kr → Petition Application → e-Application → Address change declaration
  • 2. Visit Gwangju Immigration Office after making a reservation at hikorea.go.kr
